Ride Or Die Wednesday

Yep, it's Ride or Die Wednesday ya'll so step your game up or you might get stepped on. Case in point, Tennessee prison officials get stepped on when the wife of a convict rides up in an SUV, opens fire on guards with a handgun and swoops her husband up (shackles and all) to go on the lam. Okay, gotta speak on it...what's up with the black white thing? George Hyatte is Black, his wife Jennifer Lyn is white and I am not surprised. I'm telling you, I don't know many Black girlfriends who are running up to the courthouse with the gat talking about, "Jump In!", you know? I'm drawing no conclusions here, because I know there can't be a clearcut explanation. All I can say is that if George's wife's name was LaTonya, he'd be getting conjugal visits, not a tour of Tennessee. But let me get back to the point, which is that either George is a hypnotist or a master at brainwashing, or Jennifer Lyn is simply hardcore, and she wanted her man. You KNOW these two will be on America's Most Wanted any day now; the authorities will pull out all the stops to catch these 'cop killers'. Yeah, it was bad beforea guard died, butwhen he succumbed to his bullet wound, and the media put out the information about his wife and kids the Hyattes got the shoot-to-kill treatment. Oh well, those are consequences when your only choices become Ride or Die. Also going down on Ride Or Die Wednesday, we have a bunch of Brazilian thieves who are handy with a shovel. The bandits rented a house over 200 feet from a bank, tunneled through the dirt for three months to break into the bank vault's reinforced steel floor. After all that patience, they were rewarded with $65 million dollars and the Ride Or Die Label. Supposedly the policehave identified 8 people as part of the gang, but obviously have no evidence because there have been no arrests. They believe themastermind is afugitive who escaped from prison during a 25 year sentence by tunneling out under the prison. What a surprise! Yeah that wasslick, mobbing off witha bunch of corporate money--I like it. Can you send me some? Oh nevermind, I'm too old to Ride or Die with ya'll. And since we're on the subject, I'd like to pass on some good news about two original Ride or Die-ers, Daz & Kurupt. They have officially squashed the beef and are reuniting to bring us more Dogg Pound magic. Check the interview on All Hip-Hop.com. And since I'm in my home state Cali's business, I heard that Alex Smith will be starting for my beloved 49ers against the Raiders. Since I am a Ride or Die 49er fan, this is of serious importance. He's a rookie (though a smart one) and he looks a little frail to me, so starting against the Raiders should be a good litmus test for him. It would be nice if we could count on our offensive line to keep him relatively safe, but let's just say that Alex should expect to eat a little turf at some point in the game. Go 9ers! The last thing on the Ride or Die list has already started to Die. Black bookstores are having a problem staying afloat thanks to Wal-Mart and other mainstream stores who have jumped on the Black Lit craze. Not news, I know but I love Black bookstores and have imagined myself an owner of one many times so this is threatening my dream! I encourage everybody to find a Black bookstore in your neighborhood and buy a book from there. Not a hard thing to do. Be conscious about your consumer power and bring some business to a worthwhile franchise. Stop being cheap! I am also sending out a big birthday shout out to my dad, celebrating his 51st birthday. He is getting things right this third time around so this is a real milestone. Live your life and be happy, man! Alright, I'm done for right now, but reserve the right to come back and rant again at a moment's notice.
